After meeting with a writing center tutor, I made a couple edits that helped enhance my ePortfolio page greatly. Matthew, the writing center tutor I met with, was very helpful in keeping my writing style more consistent and I was able to lead my word choice to a more productive place. This was my first writing center appointment and I truly enjoyed collaborating with someone who has more expertise in writing than I was. Eportfolio projects have not been a problem for me in the past, so the course project I aimed to edit was not of vast substance, but I wanted to make sure all communications projects I had up on my page was as professional as possible.
I switched my communication and conflict management reflection post around to fit a more appropriate tone for my Wix page which I believe will benefit my major endeavors and professional image for prospective employers. Among the changes we discussed and made were those that helped boost my wording to a more fitting tone with better sentence choices when describing my time in communication and conflict management (COMM 421). I enjoyed my time collaborating with Matthew and look forward to scheduling a writing center appointment in the very near future.
