In the newest changes to my ePortfolio, I curated changes in both desktop and mobile view that I believe will benefit my page for the better. To start, I chose the option of optimizing my eP in mobile view, and came away with some productive edits to the outline of my page. I chose to complete this option for the first eP assignment of this semester due most in part to how important I believe mobile view is for the overall image of your page. As a working ePortfolio student assistant on campus, I find myself increasingly more aware of the credibility and professionalism that can be boosted through your eP’s mobile format, and I wanted to make it my goal to do so within this specific class project. Organizing and reformatting the different menu options was the key change I made in this area of my ePortfolio and I believe I succeeded in making my mobile site much more accessible moving forward.
Outside of the mobile optimization I participated in with my ePortfolio, I made significant changes to the usual desktop format for my home page – an area that I have been aiming to switch up and improve upon for quite some time. Among the changes I made on this specific page was bolding and italicizing my name and tagline statement that follows the fold of my entire ePortfolio. Grabbing the immediate attention of a potential viewer of my site is immensely important and I made sure I complimented this need in my most recent changes. Although I feel as though this newly revised home page bodes well for my overall eP presence, I still believe I have more work to do in making my ePortfolio more professional. Moving forward, I would like to change around the way my documents are embedded and presented on my respective pages, and will look towards that in the next edits I make in curating my ePortfolio.
