My thoughts and expectations going into Interpersonal Communication in Organizations (COMM 351).
As I enter this spring semester of 2019, I do so with an open mind and a drive to include a sense of professionalism in my work. My placement in Interpersonal Communication in Organizations (COMM 351) is a perfect opportunity to grow and mature in a professional way with publications of blogs and works through an e-Portfolio system. While I am excited and ready to get to work, I believe setting goals for my e-Portfolio work is essential for success in the long run. Below are these goals. Organization
"For every minute spent in organizing, an hour is earned." - Benjamin Franklin
While the e-Portfolio project for COMM 351 is intriguing and a truly great opportunity for the students who partake in it, it doesn't thrive without that of a platform for organization and tidiness. The first thing a viewer will always see on any curation of a body of work will be an orderly and professional format from the creator at hand. It is my duty throughout this semester to provide the viewer with an organized collection of my work no matter the amount of time and effort it may require me to do so.
Fresh, Clear Cut Content
With my firm goal of well developed organization in place comes the need for well developed content from start to finish in my time as a student in this course. I need to always put my best foot forward in producing work that reflects the kind of student I am, so content that is relevant and important to my cause is essential for this project.
A Sense of Professionalism
"A professional is someone who can do his best work when he doesn't feel like it." - Alstair Cooke
This e-Portfolio project has a duration of an entire semester which means a sense of professionalism is required in my every move as a student in this course. The quote above sums up what my approach to this and any project will be - unwavering professionalism in every piece of work I publish.
